TRAIL OUT Racing Game Receives Huge 5.0 Update and Sequel Announcement

TRAIL OUT Revs Up with Massive 5.0 Update and Announces a Sequel

Fans of high-octane racing are in for a treat as the developers behind the adrenaline-fueled game, TRAIL OUT, have just released its most substantial update yet, version 5.0. This monumental patch, which the team spent ten months perfecting, introduces so many changes that the creators themselves joke it’s easier to list what hasn’t been touched.

TRAIL OUT is known for its chaotic racing action, taking players across diverse global locations, filled with explosions, destruction, and intense vehicular mayhem. This 5.0 update significantly expands on that core experience, refreshing many aspects of the game and preparing players for what’s to come.

Major Overhaul in Update 5.0

The 5.0 update brings a huge array of improvements and new content. Here are some of the most exciting additions:

  • New Content: Two brand-new city tracks set in Tokyo, a German autobahn complete with traffic, and an exciting lineup of new vehicles including the Venom V10, Beast MS, and the Ace Truck, which even features a firing mode. The destruction physics are also ramped up, allowing for dramatic events like falling satellite dishes and dam collapses. Players can also customize their characters with new skins.
  • Gameplay Enhancements: A new combat mode called DASH lets players use gadgets to gain an edge. The car module system has been redesigned, and a new auto-assembly function for junkyard cars makes vehicle creation smoother. Other additions include a donation system, improved AI for the protagonist’s dog, the ability to crawl to the finish line in split-screen mode, and more Steam achievements to unlock.
  • Story Mode Rework: The game’s story mode has received such a significant overhaul that developers suggest players start a new game to fully experience the changes. This includes improved animations, events, and visuals, updated boss races, and a refreshed introduction. A new ‘FestApp’ activity feed helps uncover in-game lore, and an alternative ending has been added. The ‘New Game+’ mode has also been reworked, and cutscene voiceovers are updated.
  • Graphics and Optimization: The update brings several technical improvements, such as refined glass damage logic, enhanced game stability, and more realistic car physics. A new 144 FPS limit option is available, along with additional anti-aliasing options like FXAA, TAA, and MSAA. The user interface is now more responsive and smoother.
  • Other Improvements: The Joker's Roulette mode has been updated, new introductory music has been added to all maps, and the race position and finish line detection logic have been refined for greater accuracy.

Looking Ahead: TRAIL OUT 2 Announced

Beyond this massive update, the developers have also made an exciting announcement: TRAIL OUT 2 is officially in production, with a planned release in 2028. The sequel aims to build on the success of the first game with a strong focus on online multiplayer, an all-new physics engine, upgraded graphics, a vast open world, and a new story mode featuring fresh characters.

For now, players can dive into the updated TRAIL OUT, which is available on PC (Steam) and Xbox Series X|S. This update offers a wealth of content, making it an excellent time for both new and returning players to experience the chaotic joy of TRAIL OUT, while also looking forward to an even bigger adventure in the future.
