PEAK Climbing Simulator Releases New Patch with Colorblind Mode and Fixes

PEAK Climbing Simulator Adds Colorblind Mode in Latest Update

The creators of the hit climbing simulator, PEAK, are continuing to enhance their game with ongoing updates. Yesterday evening, the game received patch 1.28.a, with its most significant addition being a brand-new colorblind mode. This feature aims to make the game more accessible and enjoyable for a wider range of players.

Beyond the new accessibility option, the update also brings a series of general gameplay improvements and bug fixes, addressing several community-reported issues. Here’s a breakdown of the key changes:

  • The maximum time before the first tornado appears has been reduced.
  • The minimum time until the next tornado appears has been slightly increased.
  • The prevalence of the “Tornado Hell” biome has been marginally decreased.
  • The chance of the labyrinth being blocked after entering a tomb has been significantly lowered.
  • Egg nests now weigh more.
  • Fixed an issue where players couldn't receive the stamina badge.
  • Fixed a bug preventing the Scoutmaster from climbing walls.
  • Resolved a potential problem where visual modifications could cause various crashes.
  • Fixed an issue where being caught in a tornado and subsequently failing a run would cause the game to freeze on the loading screen.
  • Fixed a bug where placing a scout cannon on a jellyfish could lead to a soft-lock.
  • Improved backpack physics, making it less likely for players to lose their backpacks.
  • Removed the irritating flickering from the end-of-game countdown timer.

PEAK is currently available exclusively on PC via Steam and includes Russian text localization. The game holds an 'Overwhelmingly Positive' rating, with 93% positive reviews based on over 116,000 user feedback. This new patch shows the developers' commitment to refining the game and listening to their player base, ensuring a smoother and more inclusive experience for all adventurers scaling its virtual peaks.
