Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II Shows Off Faction Combat in New Trailer
Fans of turn-based strategy and the grimdark future of Warhammer 40,000 have a new reason to be excited. Developer Bulwark Studios recently published an extensive gameplay overview trailer for their upcoming title, Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus II. The nearly five-minute video offers an in-depth look at the game's core elements and the intense conflict at its heart.
This new entry in the Warhammer 40K universe plunges players into a fierce confrontation between the Adeptus Mechanicus Tech-Priests and the ancient, robotic Necrons. Both factions boast unique gameplay mechanics and feature their own complete story campaigns, promising a diverse and replayable experience.
A Battle for the Forge World
The narrative centers around Magos Dominus Faustinius leading the Adeptus Mechanicus, whose objective is to protect a vital forge world from the encroaching Necron threat. Opposing him is the recently awakened Vargard Neferkhash, who commands the Necron forces with the singular goal of purging the planet of all 'intruders'.
Players will navigate a variety of diverse locations, all featuring destructible environments. These crumbling structures can be strategically utilized as cover during combat, adding a layer of tactical depth to the turn-based encounters. The game also introduces a roster of varied units, each designed to defend their respective leaders and execute complex strategies. Furthermore, leaders on both sides can be upgraded, unlocking new and powerful abilities that can turn the tide of battle.
