Styx: Blades of Greed Unveils New Gameplay

Fans of stealth and trickery have reason to be excited as Cyanide Studio, in collaboration with publisher Nacon, recently showcased a full gameplay trailer for their upcoming title, Styx: Blades of Greed. The game, a new stealth-action adventure featuring the infamous goblin Styx, was first announced this spring during a Nacon presentation, and this latest reveal offers a deeper look at the treacherous gameplay.

The new trailer highlights Styx's signature approach to stealth, showing him expertly dispatching guards and cunningly stealing valuable quartz. Unlike previous adventures, Styx is no longer working under contract. In Blades of Greed, he operates independently, pursuing his own personal goals and leading his own team. Players will constantly outwit the Inquisition and encounter familiar faces from the series along the way. This particular quest is significant, as it marks the beginning of the Great War, an event players may recall from the lore of Of Orcs and Men.

Enhanced Stealth and Verticality

The developers at Cyanide Studio state that they have refined the core gameplay mechanics from previous installments, providing players with an even richer set of tools and abilities for stealthy progression. The game features expansive locations with increased verticality, encouraging players to explore and utilize environmental advantages. Styx's repertoire of skills extends beyond simple sneaking; he can mind-control enemies, create distractions, set traps, and employ a variety of other deceptive tactics to overcome obstacles.

Release Details

Styx: Blades of Greed is set to launch this autumn on PC (via Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. While a precise release date has not yet been announced, the game will include Russian text localization at launch. This new installment promises to deliver the ultimate stealth experience for fans of the cunning goblin and newcomers alike, building upon the series' established legacy of strategic infiltration and dark fantasy adventure.
