INSTINCT3 Agency Debuts Sidekick Publishing for Indie and AA Titles

Berlin-based creative agency INSTINCT3 has announced the launch of a new publishing arm, Sidekick Publishing. This new venture aims to support the release of indie, A, and AA-tier video games, combining global publishing experience with strong marketing expertise, particularly focusing on content creators and community engagement.

A Fresh Approach to Game Publishing

Sidekick Publishing is co-led by industry veterans Jasmin Oestreicher and Melvin Frank. Oestreicher, who brings years of experience in publishing and marketing, emphasized the importance of adaptability in today's rapidly evolving gaming landscape. She believes that modern gamers quickly discern inauthenticity and are wary of excessive commercialization. Therefore, Sidekick Publishing will prioritize bold ideas, sensitivity to player needs, and a long-term vision for each project.

Melvin Frank added that Sidekick Publishing was born from practical, hands-on experience. Over the past year, the team has been involved in various game releases, learning valuable lessons they now intend to apply to empower indie developers. Their core mission is to select projects that resonate with their ethos and continuously elevate the standard of quality with every new release.

First Game Announced: Deadly Days: Roadtrip

The first title to be released under the new Sidekick Publishing label will be Deadly Days: Roadtrip from developer Pixelsplit. This pixel-art 2.5D action roguelike thrusts players into a zombie apocalypse scenario. The game is set to launch on PC via Steam in 2025. Players eager to get a head start can already try out a demo version, and the game will feature text localization for Russian speakers.

The arrival of Sidekick Publishing signals a new player in the game publishing scene, aiming to foster a more authentic connection between developers, games, and their communities. This focus on content creators and genuine engagement could be a significant boost for up-and-coming titles and a welcome addition for players looking for unique gaming experiences.
