CloverPit Blends Balatro and Buckshot Roulette, Arrives September 3

CloverPit Launching on PC September 3

Publishers Future Friends Games and developer Panik Arcade have announced that their unique new project, CloverPit, is set to launch on PC via Steam on September 3. This dark, intense horror roguelike traps players in a rusty cell with only a slot machine and an ATM for company. The goal is brutal: pay off a mounting debt after each round, or face a literal drop into the abyss.

Described as a “hellish child of Balatro and Buckshot Roulette,” CloverPit promises a roguelike experience that pulls players into a hell of their own making. The core gameplay revolves around manipulating the slot machine to your advantage. Winning rounds and earning prizes, along with special amulets, help players create powerful combinations and build up a winning streak. The game encourages bending the rules, breaking the system, and buying time to clear your debt and inch closer to freedom.

A Deep Dive into the Abyss

While the game centers around a slot machine, the developers stress that CloverPit is not a gambling simulator. Instead, the slot machine is designed to be “broken” and defeated by the player, not to extract real-world money. This distinction highlights the puzzle-roguelike nature of the game, focusing on strategy and exploiting mechanics rather than chance.

Key Features of CloverPit:

  • Every round pushes you to the brink of failure.
  • Multiple endings, meta-progression, and unlockable power-ups ensure replayability.
  • An endless mode for those who love to chase high scores.
  • An atmospheric, hellish escape room vibe.
  • Over 150 items and powerful synergies to discover.
  • A compelling narrative about addiction and the quest for freedom.

Players eager to challenge the one-armed bandit will find CloverPit exclusively on PC via Steam. A text localization for Russian speakers will be available. For those looking to get a head start or simply try before they buy, the developers have also prepared a demo version of the game.
