Lapin Leaps Onto PlayStation Next Month
South Korean developer Studio Doodal, in partnership with publisher Flux Games, has announced that their adorable 2D precision platformer, Lapin, is making its way to PlayStation consoles. Players on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 can look forward to joining the adventure starting September 2nd.
In Lapin, players embark on a heartwarming yet challenging journey with five brave rabbits. Their peaceful life in a park is disrupted when humans begin renovation work, forcing the group to leave their home. Led by the main character, Libe, these rabbits must set out on an adventure to find a new, safe haven. The path ahead is filled with various obstacles that demand precision, careful aiming, and perfectly timed jumps to overcome all dangers.
Beyond the core platforming challenges, Lapin offers more than just jumping. Players can interact with Libe's companions, who will offer helpful advice and even provide gifts, adding depth to the narrative and gameplay. Libe also keeps a personal journal, a charming feature where players can collect items like photo cards, seeds, and information about the other rabbits, encouraging exploration and discovery throughout the game.
While PlayStation owners are just getting their turn, Lapin has already been available on PC via Steam and Microsoft Store, as well as Xbox consoles. The game initially launched in Early Access in November 2022, with its full 1.0 version releasing in August 2023. Nintendo Switch players will have to wait a little longer, as the port, after several delays, is now slated for an October 9th release.
The arrival of Lapin on PlayStation opens up this delightful yet challenging platformer to a whole new audience. Fans of precision platforming and charming narratives will find plenty to enjoy as they guide Libe and friends through their perilous search for a new home. Get ready to hop into action and experience this unique adventure next month.
