King of Meat Confirms October Launch for PC and Consoles
Gamers eager for a new cooperative adventure can mark their calendars: King of Meat, the whimsical 3D platformer developed by Glowmade and published by Amazon Games, will officially launch on October 7 for PC and stationary consoles. Nintendo Switch players will need to wait a bit longer, with their version scheduled for an early 2026 release.
This lively title invites players to team up with up to three friends, tackling challenging dungeons, solving clever puzzles, and battling a variety of outlandish monsters. A key feature of King of Meat is its robust community integration, allowing players to explore not only official dungeons but also levels crafted by other players. Furthermore, the game empowers you to design your own custom levels and share them with the wider community, ensuring a fresh supply of content.
Pre-Order Bonuses and Early Access
For those looking to jump in early, two editions are available for pre-order. The Standard Edition is priced at 15,750 Kazakhstani Tenge, while the Deluxe Edition costs 26,000 Kazakhstani Tenge. Both editions come with the legendary "Venerable Defender" samurai-themed costume and offer up to five days of early access, starting on October 2. The Deluxe Edition sweetens the deal with additional character packs, "Tapeboard Betsy" and "Emerson Shard."
Technical Test and Post-Launch Promises
Before the full launch, players will have a chance to experience King of Meat during a technical test running from August 23 to 24. Participants can be among the first to explore dungeons and provide valuable feedback to the developers. There's also a special reward for Twitch viewers: watching any King of Meat stream for 30 minutes will earn you the unique "Beta Rewards Top" item, which will carry over to the final game.
At launch, King of Meat will boast over a hundred dungeons, many of which have been contributed by the community. Glowmade and Amazon Games have committed to providing ongoing free updates post-release, promising new modes, events, and expanded tools for the Create mode. Importantly, the developers emphasize that King of Meat will not feature any pay-to-win elements, loot boxes, or opaque monetization. All purchases will be purely cosmetic, with players always knowing exactly what they are buying.
With its focus on cooperative play, community-driven content, and a clear monetization strategy, King of Meat aims to deliver a fun and fair platforming experience for players worldwide. Please note that the game will not include Russian language support.
