Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Unleashes Insanity This November
During the opening ceremony of gamescom 2025, Treyarch and Raven Software finally pulled back the curtain on the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. The game is set to arrive on PC and consoles on November 14. Confirming earlier whispers, the base edition will retail for $70, defying rumors of an $80 price tag. Developers promise this installment will be the most 'insane' entry in the series yet.
Dive into a World on the Brink: The Co-op Campaign
The campaign thrusts players into the year 2035, a world teetering on the edge of chaos. The notorious Raul Menendez makes his return, while a new global corporation, The Guild, led by Emma Kagan, takes on the monumental task of protecting humanity. Players will join forces with David Mason and the elite JSOC team. Their mission? To explore the mysterious city of Avalon, confront weaponry that transforms fear into a tool of war, and unravel the means to stop Menendez before losing their own sanity. This narrative experience is designed for both solo play and cooperative action with up to four players. A standout feature is 'Endgame,' a PvE segment where heroes can evolve new abilities to take on incredibly challenging foes.
Unified Progress Across All Modes
For the first time in the series, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 introduces a unified progression system across its campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies modes. This means experience points, completed challenges, and weapon camos earned in co-op will seamlessly carry over into the other modes and even into Call of Duty: Warzone from its first season. This global progression ensures that every minute spent playing contributes to your overall advancement.
Expanded Multiplayer and Reimagined Combat
Multiplayer fans can look forward to exploring 16 diverse maps, including 13 brand-new locations and three beloved classics from Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Additionally, two large-scale 20v20 Skirmish maps will offer extensive combat encounters. The battlefield experience is enhanced with new active abilities like suits, grappling hooks, and the ability to actively use vehicles. The arsenal boasts 30 weapons, combining new firearms with fan-favorite classics. A new 'Overclock' system allows players to modify grenades and upgrade equipment for tactical advantages. Movement has also seen an overhaul, introducing wall-jumping, mantling onto ledges, and tactical perks for dynamic engagements.
Zombies Mode Returns with a Dark Twist
The popular Zombies mode makes its triumphant return, venturing into the chilling 'Dark Aether.' Players will encounter familiar faces and alternate versions of fan-favorite characters such as Richtofen, Dempsey, Nikolai, and Takeo. The Zombies map is touted as the largest in Black Ops history, brimming with secrets, easter eggs, and dangers around every corner. Classic Survival maps are back, alongside the return of Dead Ops Arcade 4, a beloved four-player top-down cooperative mode.
New Systems, Prestige, and Early Access
Black Ops 7 also introduces the ability to share weapon builds with other players. The classic Prestige system makes a welcome comeback, offering unique camos and accessories as rewards for dedicated players. For those eager to jump into the action, the multiplayer reveal is set for Call of Duty NEXT on September 30. An open beta will follow on October 2, exclusively for those who pre-order the game. Digital pre-orders will also be rewarded with exclusive operator skins.
Players can continue the thrilling story of Call of Duty: Black Ops II on PC (via Steam, Microsoft Store, and Battle.net), Xbox, and PlayStation consoles, complete with Russian text localization. Furthermore, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will be available on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass from day one, offering an accessible entry point for subscribers.
