Techland Responds to Player Feedback with Urgent Hotfix for Dying Light: The Beast
Polish developer Techland recently delighted fans with the launch of Dying Light: The Beast, a new installment in the popular series that continues Kyle Crane's story. In less than a week, the game has already garnered over 16,000 "Very Positive" reviews on platforms like Steam. However, players have also encountered several minor issues that Techland is now actively working to resolve with an upcoming hotfix.
Among the most disruptive bugs reported by the community are instances of rain appearing indoors, a broken day-night cycle, and players getting stuck in environmental textures. These are the primary targets for the forthcoming hotfix. In a gesture of appreciation and to compensate for the inconvenience, the developers have already made a new shotgun skin available to players within their in-game arsenal.
"We saw your feedback about the indoor rain and the broken day/night cycle. Our team is already working on this, so the hotfix will be ready by the beginning of the week… We have already prepared a fix, but we need time for additional testing. Tests were conducted all weekend, and we will continue working through most of Monday. If no problems arise, we will immediately release the hotfix for PC players. <…> Thank you for your patience. We know these issues are frustrating for those who encounter them, and we are doing everything possible to provide a stable solution as soon as possible."
