Street Fighter Movie Rescheduled for October 2026, Paramount Pictures Joins as Distributor
Fans eager for a new live-action adaptation of the iconic fighting game franchise, Street Fighter, will now have to wait a bit longer. The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Legendary Entertainment's upcoming film is now slated for a theatrical release on October 16, 2026.
This new date marks a shift from the previously announced March 20, 2025, premiere. The change became necessary earlier this year when Sony Pictures decided not to renew its distribution contract with Legendary. This left the project searching for a new partner, a search that has now concluded with Paramount Pictures stepping in.
