Marvel Rivals Season 4 Details Revealed, Featuring Angela and More
NetEase Games has just pulled back the curtain on what players can expect from the upcoming fourth season of Marvel Rivals. Headlining the new content is Angela, the Asgardian goddess and sister to Thor, who will join the hero shooter's roster in the first half of the season. Alongside her gameplay reveal, developers shared a wealth of information about other major changes and additions coming soon.
Meet Angela: The Asgardian Defender
Angela will enter Marvel Rivals as a 'Defender' class character, meaning she boasts increased health to protect her allies and hold the line against enemies. Her unique abilities allow her to transform her ichor into various objects, such as a wing for flight or a spear for combat. Angela can fight in two distinct modes: ground and air.
While airborne, she wields a spear, using it to dive down onto targets and even knock opponents off the arena. On the ground, Angela switches to a pair of axes, striking with a berserker-like fury. Both combat stances allow her to activate a shield that absorbs damage for a set duration. Her ultimate ability sees Angela throw her spear, dealing area-of-effect damage and binding any enemies caught within its range.
Season 4: New Content and Balance Changes
Beyond Angela, Season 4 brings a host of updates to Marvel Rivals. Here’s a breakdown of the key changes:
- A new team synergy will be introduced for Angela and Thor, allowing the God of Thunder to throw an electrified spear.

- Significant balance changes are coming, including buffs to Thor's and Peni Parker's ultimate abilities, while Emma Frost and Captain America will see some adjustments. The full patch notes are already available for review.
