NetEase Games has announced that its highly anticipated 6v6 hero shooter, Marvel Rivals, will launch on PlayStation 4 on September 12th. This release marks a significant expansion for the game, bringing it to a wider audience simultaneously with the debut of its fourth season, titled 'The Heart of the Dragon.'
The announcement was accompanied by a thrilling debut trailer for the new season, showcasing a spectacular battle between two new playable heroes joining the roster: the street-level hero Daredevil and the Asgardian goddess Angela. Their intense confrontation unfolds on the new map, K’un-Lun, which is famously Iron Fist’s mystical training ground.
The Heart of the Dragon Season Storyline
Season 4's narrative delves into the complex tapestry of the Marvel multiverse, where tangled temporal streams have merged the Seven Capitals to form the Heart of the Heavens. Following the defeat of Nall, Hela finds herself imprisoned in An’Hai-Zidi, where Dizang, the Devil of the Eighth City, offers her a chance at redemption. However, Angela, unable to forgive Hela's past betrayals, arrives at the Heart of the Heavens demanding Hela's surrender. The guardian of the Heart refuses to hand over someone under his protection, setting the stage for a dramatic conflict where justice and duty collide.
Adding to the brewing chaos, a greater threat looms. Doctor Doom is attempting to steal the Chi of the slumbering dragon Shou-Lao, an act that could fundamentally alter the fate of the Heavens themselves.
