Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Expands with New DLC and Major Game Update

Indy's Latest Adventure: The Order of Giants DLC

MachineGames has officially launched The Order of Giants, a new story expansion for their popular action-adventure title, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Released on September 4th, this paid content invites players to join the iconic archaeologist on a fresh mystery, diving deep into the enigmatic secrets hidden beneath Rome's bustling streets and ancient catacombs.

In this thrilling new chapter, Indy must outwit followers of an ancient cult and solve intricate puzzles crafted by emperors of a distant past. His quest will lead him to uncover the truth behind the mysterious giants, the Nephilim. The DLC promises a packed experience, even including gladiatorial combat sequences to challenge players.

The Order of Giants is designed to integrate smoothly into the main game. Players can choose to embark on this new adventure either in the middle of their existing campaign or after completing the main story. Interestingly, the difficulty of the DLC will dynamically adjust to match the player's progress in The Great Circle, ensuring a consistent challenge. The expansion is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, both as a standalone purchase and as part of the game's Premium Edition. Early Steam reviews have been largely positive, with players praising how the DLC complements the main campaign, though some have found the new puzzles to be particularly challenging.

Major Game Update Brings New Features and Fixes

Alongside the new DLC, MachineGames also rolled out a significant update for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, introducing a host of new features and quality-of-life improvements for all players:
  • New Combat Difficulty: A "Very Easy" combat difficulty has been added, perfect for players who prefer to focus on the game's challenging puzzles and world exploration without the stress of intense combat encounters.
  • RTX Hair Support: For PC players with GeForce RTX 5000 series graphics cards, the game now supports RTX Hair technology, enhancing hair lighting for a more realistic look. Developers recommend enabling this option only on powerful GPUs with at least 16GB of VRAM for optimal performance.
  • Expanded Radio Content: New hosts have joined the jazz and opera radio stations in Marshall College and the Vatican. The Vatican radio station also features new news broadcasts, keeping players informed about in-world events within The Great Circle.
  • Improved Inventory Access: The quick access menu in the inventory has been made more informative, now clearly indicating which of Indy's costumes allow free movement within the current location.
  • Extensive Bug Fixes: The update addresses numerous issues, including non-functional fast travel markers, incorrect animations, softlocks, and game crashes. Additionally, a fix has been implemented for the Russian-language version of the game, ensuring that Latin rather than Cyrillic keyboard characters are displayed correctly.

These updates offer compelling reasons for both new and returning players to dive into Indy's world. With a new story to uncover, adjusted difficulties for all playstyles, and visual enhancements, the adventure continues to evolve. Players on Nintendo Switch 2 can also look forward to experiencing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle when it arrives on the platform in 2026.
