Another Key Developer Leaves Haven Studios
Haven Studios, the PlayStation-owned developer behind the upcoming PvPvE shooter Fairgames, has seen another high-profile departure. Daniel Drapeau, who served as Game Director for Fairgames, has left the studio. This news comes just months after studio founder and CEO Jade Raymond also departed Haven Studios.
According to Drapeau's LinkedIn profile, he left Haven Studios in August 2025. He subsequently announced his move to WB Games Montréal, where he took on a Creative Director role. Drapeau had been with Haven Studios for approximately four and a half years. Neither Sony nor Haven Studios has issued an official comment regarding his departure.
Silence Surrounds Fairgames' Development
The departure of a key creative leader adds to the ongoing mystery surrounding Fairgames. The game, described as a multiplayer AAA-level robbery shooter, was first announced in 2023. Since its reveal, official updates have been non-existent, leading to what many in the community describe as radio silence.
Initial reports from insider Jason Schreier suggested that Fairgames was planned for a Fall 2025 release on PC and PlayStation 5. However, that release window was later pushed back to 2026. The continued lack of communication, coupled with two significant leadership changes, may raise questions about the game's development progress and its future.
For players eagerly awaiting more news on this ambitious live-service title, these changes could signal further challenges for the project. The gaming community will undoubtedly be watching closely for any future announcements from Haven Studios or Sony about the status of Fairgames.
