Capcom's Pre-TGS 2025 Presentation Reveals Exciting Game Updates
Ahead of the Tokyo Game Show 2025, Capcom hosted a dedicated presentation to share new details and gameplay for several of its highly anticipated, previously announced titles. For those attending TGS 2025, demo versions of all the featured games will be available at Capcom's booth.
The 40-minute event gave fans a closer look at a diverse range of games. Here's a breakdown of what was shown:
Pragmata
The presentation kicked off with a fresh gameplay trailer for Pragmata, the sci-fi third-person action game first announced in 2020. The new footage highlighted the 'Sanctuary,' a central hub where protagonists can boost their abilities, unlock new equipment, and plan their next moves. Pragmata tells the story of astronaut Hugh and the android girl Diana as they fight against a hostile artificial intelligence on a moon station. Players will need to use Diana's hacking skills, presented as simple mini-puzzles, to effectively combat mechanical foes. Pragmata is set to release in 2026 for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Mega Man Star Force: Legacy Collection
Capcom unveiled a new trailer for Mega Man Star Force: Legacy Collection, a compilation of classic Mega Man Star Force games featuring enhanced gameplay elements. New additions include online play, visual filters, an art gallery, a music player, expanded difficulty settings, and a vast collection of battle cards, including those previously only available through limited-time events. Street Fighter 6
The developers of Street Fighter 6 announced that the new DLC fighter, C. Viper, an elite CIA agent known for her combat prowess and spy gadgets, will join the roster on October 15. C. Viper is part of the third year of content support for Street Fighter 6, which has already seen the release of Sagat. Future additions include Alex (early Spring 2026) and Ingrid (late Spring 2026). Players can also look forward to cosmetic collaborations with Monster Hunter Wilds and Banshee's Last Cry. A new mech suit for Zangief will also arrive alongside C. Viper. This patch introduces a visual and music gallery, a scene editor with all character animations, an episode and investigation selection feature, the ability to choose text and audio localizations independently, and support for two new languages: Spanish and Portuguese. The game is available on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch.
Resident Evil: Requiem
Capcom provided another glimpse into the ambitious Resident Evil: Requiem, the ninth main installment in the series, which will take players back to a ravaged Raccoon City. Players will step into the shoes of FBI technical analyst Grace Ashcroft as she works to uncover the secrets of the ruined city and escape. Resident Evil: Requiem can be played in either first-person or third-person. It is slated for release on February 27, 2026, for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. On the same day, Switch 2 versions of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and Resident Evil Village will also launch.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword
The creators of Onimusha: Way of the Sword debuted a new story trailer focusing on the protagonist's relationships with his allies. The new Onimusha puts players in control of the legendary samurai Miyamoto Musashi, who aims to purge Kyoto of the demons that have consumed the city. Along with his trusty katana, Musashi wields a mystical Oni gauntlet, allowing him to absorb demon souls. However, the protagonist understands that the demonic gauntlet brings no good and seeks a way to break free from its grasp. Onimusha: Way of the Sword will arrive in 2026 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Monster Hunter Wilds
The developers of Monster Hunter Wilds shared details on the third major content update, set to release on September 29. This update features a cross-over event with Final Fantasy XIV, where players will team up with characters from the MMO to hunt the Omega Planetos. The collaboration also introduces two classes from Final Fantasy XIV—Dark Knight and Pictomancer—complete with their respective abilities and gear. Additionally, the update challenges players to fight the Arch-Tempered Nu Udr and complete a new questline to earn 8-rarity materials. Four nostalgic emotes and a new festival are also included. Monster Hunter Wilds is available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a fourth global patch planned for December.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection
The presentation concluded with an extended trailer announcing the release date for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, the third installment in the story-driven JRPG sub-series featuring turn-based combat and monster riders. The sequel will explore the tale of two dying nations, whose despair intensifies with the hatching of twin Rathalos, harbingers of destruction. The protagonist, an heir of Azuriana and the sole Rathalos rider, along with Princess Vermeil Eleonora, embarks on a journey to the forbidden lands beyond the northern meridian to uncover the true causes of the catastrophe. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is slated for March 13, 2026, on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
