Arena Breakout: Infinite Leaves Early Access for Full PC Launch
Get ready for an action-packed September, hardcore shooter fans! Following the recent announcement regarding the long-awaited release of Escape from Tarkov, its competitor, Arena Breakout: Infinite, is also stepping into the spotlight. Developer MoreFun Studios has officially revealed that their tactical extraction shooter will leave early access and launch fully on PC on September 15th.
The journey for Arena Breakout: Infinite began with a closed beta in May 2024, followed by its early access launch on August 13, 2024. MoreFun Studios has consistently described the game as a free-to-play, immersive tactical extraction shooter, built on four core pillars: fair combat conditions, deep immersion, a unique visual style, and authentic gameplay. As the full release approaches, the development team has shared an extensive list of changes and additions coming to the game.
What's New in the Full Release?
- Expansive Maps & Dynamic Raids: The full game will feature five diverse maps, each with unique environments and scale. Every raid promises to be a fresh experience, thanks to dynamic weather systems, randomized extraction points, and supply stations. Even existing maps like 'Farm' have received significant updates, including expansions and additional cover.
- Varied Game Modes: Players will have a range of modes to suit their style. For intense, high-stakes encounters, there's the 'Quarantine Zone' and 'Forbidden Zone'. Those preferring a more relaxed pace can opt for 'Safe Operations', 'Team Deathmatch', or 'Team Elimination', alongside traditional solo operations.
- Enhanced Trophy Room: More than just a display case, the 'Trophy Room' has been upgraded into a functional central hub with 'functional modules'. These modules will help players strengthen their character and manage resources from their storage more efficiently. More improvements are planned for this feature in future updates.
- Significant Quality-of-Life Improvements: Based on community feedback, numerous quality-of-life features have been added, including automatic healing in the lobby, auto-saving for trophies, a kill cam, item cost display, loot priority settings, interruptible lock-picking, automatic key pickup for specific maps, improved warehouse sorting, in-squad communication channels, and death replays.
- Reworked Economy and Balance: A major change for the full release is the removal of direct Koen purchases. MoreFun Studios explained that this system had served its initial purpose of supporting an early development stage. With players now having more diverse and profitable ways to earn Koens, the studio is moving towards a fairer and more balanced in-game economy. Furthermore, 'red bullets' and powerful armor are now restricted – they can only be crafted in the 'Trophy Room' and cannot be sold on the market. Other items like the T7 thermal scope, throwable grenades, and certain equipment have also undergone balancing to ensure a diverse range of tactics and weapons.
- Zero-Tolerance Anti-Cheat: The developers are reiterating their 'zero tolerance' policy for cheats. They promise continuous improvements to their detection systems and strict bans for offenders. In a move to support affected players, those who suffer losses due to cheaters will have their lost gear reimbursed and receive additional 'consolation compensation'.
