Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Release Date Possibly Leaked Online
It seems the long-awaited release date for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 may have been revealed ahead of schedule. An online store, GameXtreme, briefly opened pre-orders for the physical PlayStation 5 version of the game, inadvertently leaking a potential launch date: October 21. While the page has since been removed, screenshots of the listing, including new cover art and the alleged release date, quickly circulated among vigilant gamers.
If this information proves accurate, it would mark a significant milestone for the sequel to the cult classic. Bloodlines 2 has faced numerous delays and a turbulent development history since its initial announcement. Originally slated for a 2020 release, the project saw its original developer, Hardsuit Labs, removed from the project by publisher Paradox Interactive. The game was then handed over to The Chinese Room, who reportedly had to restart development from scratch.
The most recent delay occurred this past spring. At the time, The Chinese Room stated that while all content was complete, they needed extra time for bug fixes and stability improvements. This extra development period was crucial to ensure the best possible player experience at launch. It is widely expected that an official announcement of the release date will come during an upcoming major gaming event. The most likely candidates include Gamescom's Opening Night Live on August 20, or PAX West on August 29.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is confirmed for PC (via Steam, GOG, and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The potential October 21 launch date offers a glimmer of hope to fans who have patiently waited through the game's challenging development cycle, suggesting that the long journey to launch is finally nearing its end.
