Path of Exile 2 Teases Next Big Update: 'The Third Edict' Arriving August 29th
Grinding Gear Games (GGG) has revealed the first teaser for the next significant update coming to the early version of Path of Exile 2. This upcoming patch, version 0.3.0, is titled "The Third Edict" and is set to launch on August 29th at 8 PM UTC. Players can mark their calendars for a comprehensive reveal during an online Twitch broadcast on August 20th, also at 8 PM UTC.
Following their established content roadmap, Path of Exile 2 is planned to receive major updates every four months. Each of these large patches will introduce a new league complete with a fresh economy, additional combat mechanics, new bosses to challenge, expanded crafting opportunities, and a wealth of rewards for players to earn.
The upcoming Twitch livestream will once again feature Jonathan Rogers and Marc Roberts as the hosts, guiding viewers through all the new content and changes in update 0.3.0. After the main presentation, the developers will hold a brief Q&A session alongside popular streamer ZiggyD, offering further insights and addressing community questions. As is tradition with these events, viewers can also anticipate Twitch Drops during the stream, though the specific rewards have not yet been announced.
Currently, Path of Exile 2 is available in its early version on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and its standalone client, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
