Lost Soul Aside Showcases Weapon Combat in New ChinaJoy Trailer

Lost Soul Aside's Arsenal on Full Display

After over a decade in development, the highly anticipated action RPG, Lost Soul Aside, is rapidly approaching its release. Developers Ultizero Games recently attended ChinaJoy 2025, offering fans a fresh look at the game through a new gameplay trailer specifically showcasing the protagonist's diverse array of weapons.

Dynamic Combat and Weapon Variety

Lost Soul Aside promises a fast-paced, fluid combat experience, characteristic of a dynamic slasher. The developers emphasize an 'easy to learn, difficult to master' approach to the combat system, inviting players to dive into complex yet accessible combos. The new trailer highlighted several distinct weapon types available to players, including a traditional sword, a powerful greatsword, agile dual blades, and a formidable scythe, each likely offering unique playstyles and combat opportunities.

A Dream Project Comes to Life

The journey of Lost Soul Aside began back in 2014 as the ambitious dream project of Chinese indie developer Yang Bing. Inspired by early previews of Final Fantasy XV, Bing set out to create his own grand action title. His dedication soon caught the attention of Sony, which decided to fund the game's development through its China Hero Project initiative. This crucial support allowed Bing to establish his own studio, Ultizero Games, and transform his vision into a full-fledged production.

Story and Release Details

At its core, Lost Soul Aside blends action RPG elements with intense hack-and-slash gameplay. The story centers on Kaser, a young warrior who finds himself embroiled in a conflict against interdimensional invaders, fighting to rescue his sister and protect his homeland.

Players won't have to wait much longer to experience Kaser's journey and wield his diverse arsenal. Lost Soul Aside is set to launch on August 29, 2025, for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 5. The game will also include text localization for Russian speakers, ensuring a wider audience can fully immerse themselves in its world.
