Gamescom 2025 Poised to Be Biggest Event Yet
The organizers of gamescom have announced that the 2025 event is set to break multiple records, promising an unprecedented scale for attendees and industry professionals alike. With over 1,500 exhibitors confirmed, gamescom 2025 will host the largest number of participating companies in its history, signaling continued strong investment and interest from the global gaming industry.
This year's exhibition will feature more than 1,500 participants hailing from 72 different countries, surpassing the 1,462 exhibitors from 64 countries recorded in 2024. Despite a slight reduction in the total number of dedicated pavilions and group stands (40 from 35 countries compared to 48 from 37 countries in 2024), the overall footprint of the event has expanded. Gamescom 2025 will cover a massive 233,000 square meters, a new record, up from 230,000 square meters last year.
"For the first time, we have over 1,500 exhibitors, a record area of 233,000 square meters, and nearly sold-out tickets," organizers stated. "Gamescom continues its growth. This year, more companies than ever will present their products. Over 1,500 participants from 72 countries represent a new record, offering the greatest variety in the exhibition's history."
The highly anticipated opening ceremony for gamescom 2025 will also see a significant upgrade. For the first time, the ceremony will take place in Hall #1, a spacious venue designed to accommodate up to 5,000 spectators. This new location boasts state-of-the-art technical infrastructure and will feature the largest stage since the show's inception in 2019. Last year's opening ceremony drew a remarkable global viewership of approximately 44 million people.

Gamescom 2025 is scheduled to take place in Cologne, Germany, from August 20th to 24th. The opening ceremony will kick off on August 19th at 9:00 PM Moscow time (7:00 PM CEST), lasting two hours.
