Cult of the Lamb Announces Massive Woolhaven Story DLC for 2026 Release

Cult of the Lamb Expands with Major Woolhaven Story DLC in 2026

Fans of the acclaimed roguelike, Cult of the Lamb, have reason to rejoice as developer Massive Monster unveiled a significant new story expansion titled Woolhaven at gamescom. This highly anticipated DLC is set to bring a flurry of new content and a chilling new narrative to the game in early 2026.

Woolhaven promises to immerse players in a snow-covered landscape and introduce a long-dormant goddess, Ingya. According to the Steam description, Ingya, once revered by the lambs, tasks players with gathering her lost flock and restoring a world ravaged by time. While life slowly returns to her abandoned domains, a creeping “rot” begins to spread across the sacred mountain, a place once considered home by the lambs.

The cult leader will venture into these harsh, wind-swept mountains, battling cursed creatures lurking beneath the snow. This journey will also unlock two brand-new dungeons for players to conquer. A core part of the DLC’s experience will involve rebuilding the ruined city of Woolhaven itself. Players will need to construct new buildings essential for the local creatures to survive the bitter cold, guide lost souls, and uncover the forgotten history of the lambs.

Adding a fresh layer to the gameplay, Woolhaven will introduce animal husbandry, allowing players to raise creatures for resources like meat and wool. This intriguing new mechanic suggests a deeper, perhaps more complex, relationship with the game’s various animal inhabitants.

Cult of the Lamb: Woolhaven is slated for release in early 2026 and will be available across PC (Steam), PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms. This substantial expansion is poised to offer players many more hours of cult-leading, dungeon-crawling fun, expanding the game’s lore and providing new challenges for both seasoned followers and newcomers alike.
