Bubsy 4D Revealed: A New Space Adventure for the Famous Bobcat
Gaming icon Bubsy is set to make a grand return in Bubsy 4D, a brand new 3D platformer announced by Atari and developer Fabraz. A new trailer reveals the wise-cracking bobcat is heading to PC and consoles, though a release date has not yet been shared.
In Bubsy 4D, our hero will embark on an epic journey through space. His mission? To reclaim his most treasured possession, the Golden Fleece, which has been stolen by menacing robotic sheep known as BeBeBots. To get it back, Bubsy will team up with an eclectic crew of allies and venture across a variety of intergalactic worlds, each filled with intricate traps and hidden secrets.
New Moves and Classic Charm
Fabraz has equipped Bubsy with an expanded set of moves to navigate these new challenges. Beyond his classic jumps, glides, and wall-climbs, Bubsy can now transform into a ball of yarn, allowing him to roll through levels at incredibly high speeds. Players will be able to test their skills in speed runs, uploading their best times to online leaderboards. Throughout the adventure, collecting yarn and finding hidden blueprints will unlock additional features and content.
Each level in Bubsy 4D promises an exciting encounter with a unique boss, providing thrilling finales to the platforming segments. The game's vibrant atmosphere will be further enhanced by a lively soundtrack from Fat Bard, featuring a dynamic mix of jazz, big band, and electro-swing elements.
