Embark Studios Prioritizes Polish for ARC Raiders Release
Embark Studios has announced that their upcoming cooperative shooter, ARC Raiders, will not feature any additional public playtests before its official launch. The Stockholm-based developer also confirmed that the game will not be showcased at Gamescom, as the team is fully committed to refining the overall player experience.
Despite successful internal trials earlier this year and considerable interest from the gaming community, the studio has decided to concentrate solely on development. In a statement shared on social media, the team emphasized that their primary focus is now on 'polishing and expanding the experience,' directly applying all the valuable insights gained from their most recent test phases.
The developers extended their gratitude for the ongoing community support and assured fans that an extensive marketing campaign will begin closer to the game's release. However, they explicitly stated that no new demonstrations or public showcases should be anticipated in the near future.
This update follows the announcement of the game's release date in early June. ARC Raiders is scheduled to launch on October 30 for PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. It has also been confirmed that the game will not include Russian language localization.
While Embark Studios' commitment to delivering a high-quality product is clear, the news has caused some disappointment among fans. Many recall how successful previous ARC Raiders tests were in generating excitement and community engagement for the shooter. Nevertheless, the studio's strategy aims to ensure the most polished and complete game possible on day one, with a strong marketing push expected to build anticipation as the release date approaches.
