Hordes of Hunger Gets First Major Content Drop

Hyperstrange, the Polish studio known for titles like Blood West, launched their new action roguelike, Hordes of Hunger, into early access this spring. Just a couple of months later, players are now receiving their first substantial content update, aptly named “Rampage.”

What's New in the Rampage Update?

The “Rampage” update introduces several key additions and improvements to the game, aimed at expanding the experience and refining gameplay. Here’s a breakdown of what players can expect:

  • A brand-new endless level called “Denial.”
  • Two new quests to challenge players.
  • Improvements to the “Rage” mode, which now sets a progression limit at level 60.
  • General enhancements to the user interface (UI).
  • Various bug fixes and refinements to core gameplay systems.

About Hordes of Hunger

For those unfamiliar, Hordes of Hunger offers dynamic battles against relentless waves of enemies, drawing comparisons to popular titles like Vampire Survivors. Players are tasked with wiping out swarms of monsters and continuously upgrading their main character’s abilities to survive increasingly difficult waves.

This first major content update is a positive sign for Hordes of Hunger’s development, showing Hyperstrange's commitment to building upon the early access foundation. It expands the current content and enhances the overall gameplay experience, moving the game closer to its planned full release by the end of the year. Hordes of Hunger is currently available exclusively on PC via Steam.
