Borderlands 4 Achieves Gold Status

Good news for Vault Hunters eagerly awaiting the next chapter: Borderlands 4 has officially gone gold! This significant milestone means that principal development on the game is complete, and it's ready for manufacturing and distribution. For players, this confirms that the highly anticipated looter-shooter will hit its scheduled release date without any further delays.

Graeme Timmins, the creative director for Borderlands 4, shared his excitement regarding the achievement:

“It’s hard to believe, but Borderlands 4 has officially gone gold! Congratulations to our team. Releasing a game of this scale is a huge accomplishment. I’m so proud of this project and can’t wait for everyone to get their hands on it!”

Journey to Kyros

The new main installment in the Borderlands series will take players to the planet Kyros. This world was, until recently, hidden from prying eyes by the powerful Time Keeper. With the despot's power now faltering, rebels and Vault Hunters are rising against him. Players will embark on an adventure across diverse regions of Kyros, seeking valuable loot and uncovering the secrets of this mysterious new planet.

Release Details

Borderlands 4 is set to launch on September 12 for PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game will include Russian text localization at launch. Nintendo Switch 2 players will have to wait just a little longer, with the game arriving on that platform on October 3.

With Borderlands 4 now gold, fans can rest assured that the wait is almost over. Get ready to dive into another chaotic, loot-filled adventure this fall!
