Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault Early Access Moves to November 19

Fans eagerly awaiting Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will need to mark a new date on their calendars. Publisher 11 bit studios and developer Digital Sun have announced a delay for the game's early access launch, shifting it from October 23 to November 19.

While many might assume the extra time is for additional polish and refinement, the primary reason given by the developers is the extremely busy release schedule of October. To ensure Moonlighter 2 doesn't get lost in the shuffle of other major titles, the team decided to move its early access debut to a less crowded month, giving it a better chance to shine and connect with players.

Closed Playtests and Platform Availability

To soften the news of the delay, Digital Sun also revealed plans for upcoming closed playtests on Steam and the Microsoft Store. These playtests will give selected players an early look at some of the changes and improvements made to the game based on community feedback. More details on how to participate will be shared soon.

Upon its early access launch on November 19, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault will be available exclusively on PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. The full version of the game is planned to arrive on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later on. PC Game Pass subscribers will also be able to access the game through the service.

The sequel builds on the beloved formula of its predecessor, casting players as an adventurer who is also a merchant. The game's description teases an expansive journey: “Build your trade empire, tinker with weapons and gadgets, and leave your mark on history!”

This delay, while perhaps disappointing for some, aims to give Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault the best possible start in the competitive gaming landscape. Players can look forward to trying out the new changes in the upcoming closed playtests before the early access launch in November.
