Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Tops Golden Joystick Awards 2025 Nominee List

The organizers of the 43rd annual Golden Joystick Awards have officially unveiled the list of nominees for 2025, and one title is standing out from the crowd: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. This highly anticipated game has garnered the most nominations, securing six potential awards, including a prestigious nod for 'Studio of the Year'.

Following closely behind with four nominations each are other major blockbusters such as Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Ghost of Yōtei, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. The awards also recognize a strong presence of indie projects, with titles like PEAK, Blue Prince, and the highly anticipated Hollow Knight: Silksong competing across various categories.

How to Vote and Key Dates

Player voting for the Golden Joystick Awards has already begun and will run until November 1st at 3:00 AM Moscow time (which is October 31st, 8:00 PM EDT). Gamers and enthusiasts can cast their votes for their favorite candidates across twenty-one distinct categories. This year also marks the introduction of a brand-new category: Best Remake or Remaster, reflecting the growing trend in the industry.

The shortlist for 'Game of the Year' will be revealed on November 3rd, opening up a separate voting period for the top honor. Three categories – 'Critics' Choice Game', 'Breakthrough of the Year', and 'Best Streamer's Choice Game' – are reserved for industry critics, whose verdicts will be announced live during the ceremony.

To participate, simply visit the official Golden Joystick Awards website and click the orange 'Start Voting' button located beneath the ceremony banner. Don't forget to click 'Submit Votes' once you've made your selections. As an added incentive, all voters will receive one of five available e-books of their choice.

The Ceremony

The Golden Joystick Awards ceremony will take place on November 20th in London. A live online broadcast will also be available for viewers worldwide to tune in and celebrate the winners.
