Classic Villains Crash Shinobi: Art of Vengeance DLC

SEGA has pulled back the curtain on the first details for the SEGA Villains Stage DLC for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. This exciting expansion, included with the Deluxe Edition of the game, promises players the chance to test their ninja skills against some of the most famous antagonists from across SEGA's rich history.

As its name suggests, the SEGA Villains Stage DLC will pit protagonist Joe Musashi against iconic foes. The first confirmed antagonist to face is none other than Dr. Robotnik (also known as Dr. Eggman) from the beloved Sonic The Hedgehog series. While Robotnik is the only villain revealed so far, SEGA has confirmed that two more legendary adversaries will be unveiled in due time, sparking speculation among fans about who might appear next.

Fans can look forward to challenging these classic villains in early 2026, though a precise release date for the DLC has not yet been announced. This gives players ample time to hone their skills in the main game while they await the expansion’s arrival.

The main game, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, is set to launch on August 29, 2025. Players will step into the shoes of Joe Musashi, a skilled shinobi on a quest for vengeance against the immortal lord Ryusu and his ruthless ENE Corp, who are responsible for the destruction of Joe's clan. The game will be available on PC (via Steam), PlayStation consoles, Xbox consoles, and Nintendo Switch, and will include Russian text localization. A demo version of the game is currently available for those eager to get an early taste of the action.

The prospect of facing classic SEGA villains adds an exciting layer to the upcoming Shinobi: Art of Vengeance. Players can master Joe Musashi's abilities in the core game, preparing themselves for these epic crossover battles when the SEGA Villains Stage DLC arrives.
