Revenge of the Savage Planet DLC Future Relies on Sales

Future Content for Revenge of the Savage Planet Hinges on Player Support

The developers behind Revenge of the Savage Planet have revealed that future content expansions, including potential DLC, are directly tied to the game's sales performance. Despite significant interest shown by its Steam wishlist numbers, current sales have not yet met the studio's expectations.

Alex Hutchinson, Creative Director and co-founder of Raccoon Logic, shared with GamesRadar+ that the team would be “delighted to continue work on the game.” He further indicated that if enough players who have wishlisted Revenge of the Savage Planet make a purchase within the next month, gamers could see “more DLC” added to the title.

To encourage more players to jump in, Raccoon Logic plans to release a free demo on Steam next week. Additionally, upcoming updates will include a photo mode and other improvements to enhance the player experience. Hutchinson emphasized the extensive effort poured into the game, noting that it represents four years of work from a team of 30 people. The studio hopes players will value their dedication, suggesting its cost is comparable to “the price of two lattes.”

Revenge of the Savage Planet is currently available on PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG. It can also be played on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and is included with Game Pass subscriptions.

This strategic move means that players who have been curious about Revenge of the Savage Planet now have a clear incentive to support the game. Trying out the free demo could be the perfect opportunity to decide whether to contribute to the game's success and help unlock even more content down the line.
