NAMAKORIUM Unveiled: A Charming Co-op Strategy Game Starring Sea Cucumbers

NAMAKORIUM: Diving into a Cute Co-op Ocean Cleanup Adventure

Developer Polyscape has officially unveiled its latest project, NAMAKORIUM, a real-time cooperative strategy game that promises a charming and unique experience. Players will step into the tiny shoes of 'Namako' sea cucumbers, creatures abandoned by humanity and now evolved into dedicated 'ocean purifiers'. This delightful journey is set to begin its Early Access phase in January 2026, exclusively on PC via Steam.

In NAMAKORIUM, up to four players must work together to organize a large-scale operation to restore the ocean's health. Gameplay revolves around strategic resource gathering, constructing essential facilities, and diligently clearing the depths of accumulated pollution. Success hinges on careful management of supplies, ensuring the team can sustain their vital cleanup efforts.

Each type of Namako sea cucumber boasts unique abilities crucial for the mission. Some excel at mining valuable ore, while others specialize in collecting limestone. Special Fire and Ice variants are equipped to handle extreme temperatures, allowing access to challenging environments. Strategic role distribution and seamless teamwork will be the key to overcoming obstacles and efficiently cleansing the marine ecosystem.

As players progress, they will witness the ocean's ecosystem gradually spring back to life. Corals will regain their vibrant hues, the water will become crystal clear, and the depths will teem with new inhabitants. The game promises over 40 species of fascinating creatures to encounter, a mix of both real-world marine life and imaginative fantastical beings. However, the mission isn't without its threats; players must contend with corrupted 'Polluted Namako' who seek to plunge the sea back into darkness. A powerful Fusion Cannon will be their primary tool in defeating these formidable foes and protecting their progress.

Polyscape promises eight distinct levels, each presenting unique environmental conditions and varied gameplay scenarios to keep players engaged. The game will feature robust multiplayer support, allowing players to team up with friends or find random teammates to tackle the ocean's challenges. Furthermore, the developers plan regular updates during Early Access, introducing new gameplay mechanics and even more deep-sea inhabitants to discover. Prepare to dive deep and make a difference when NAMAKORIUM launches on PC in 2026.
