Lords of the Fallen (2023) Hits 2 Million Sales Milestone
CI Games' dark fantasy action RPG, Lords of the Fallen, has achieved a significant sales milestone, surpassing 2 million copies sold worldwide. This announcement comes directly from Marek Tyminski, the head of CI Games, as the company gears up to reveal the next installment in the series.
The 2023 reboot, which launched to considerable anticipation, reached its first million sales within a mere 10 days of its release. Tyminski shared the exciting news, stating: "The circulation of Lords of the Fallen (2023) has just exceeded 2 million copies. A huge thank you to everyone who played, supported, and believed in us."
It's important to note that this impressive figure accounts for direct sales and does not include players who have accessed the game through Game Pass, where it became available in May 2024.
Alongside the sales update, Tyminski also offered a tantalizing tease for the franchise's future. He accompanied his announcement with an image of a new heroine, confirming that the first details about the next game will be revealed soon during a live broadcast. This highly anticipated sequel is already in production and is slated for a 2026 release.
Fans won't have to wait long for more information, as a full announcement for the next Lords of the Fallen title is scheduled to take place during the opening ceremony of Gamescom 2025 in just a few hours.
Reaching two million copies sold in less than two years marks a strong performance for Lords of the Fallen, signaling continued interest in the challenging action RPG genre. This success paves the way for the next chapter, promising more dark fantasy adventures for players. Lords of the Fallen (2023) is currently available on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
