inZOI's First DLC Takes Players to a Tropical Paradise
Good news for fans of the life simulation game inZOI: the first free expansion, titled 'Island Getaway', is set to launch on August 20. Developer Krafton has unveiled a dedicated page for the DLC, offering a deeper look into the new content. Alongside the expansion, inZOI will also make its debut on Mac computers on the same day.
Explore Kahaya Island and Its Secrets
The 'Island Getaway' DLC invites players to Kahaya, a vibrant tropical resort brimming with crystal-clear waters, stunning coral reefs, and playful dolphins. The developers shared that they drew inspiration from the natural beauty of Southeast Asia when creating this new map.
In-game characters, affectionately known as 'Zois', will be able to explore a main island and a smaller, neighboring one. The larger island offers opportunities for farming, mining, and fishing, with players able to sell their harvested goods at a local market. After a day of work, relaxation awaits on the smaller resort island, featuring a refreshing swimming pool. Zois can also unwind in a sauna, enjoy snorkeling, or even pet cats near a serene temple.
New Features and a Summer Event
The new additions don't stop there. With Island Getaway, players will gain access to new forms of transportation, including motorcycles and electric scooters. The social system is also getting an upgrade, introducing new elements like thought bubbles and cooperative actions that promise more dynamic interactions.
Beyond the island itself, the update brings several quality-of-life improvements. Players can look forward to a refined user interface, over 90 new music tracks to enhance their gameplay experience, and initial support for gamepads (currently in a testing phase). Gamescom Debut and Mac Release Details
Ahead of the DLC's launch, Krafton plans to reveal a new trailer for 'Island Getaway' during the gamescom opening ceremony on August 19. Attendees of the exhibition will have the exclusive opportunity to experience the new content firsthand.
Coinciding with the DLC release, inZOI will also launch for Mac on August 20. Pre-orders are already open on Steam and the App Store. Krafton highlights that the Mac port takes full advantage of Apple's Metal technology, ensuring hardware-accelerated graphics for smooth, fast, and visually appealing gameplay with high frame rates.
